Our story

Food at the door. Community in every box.

JRA MetroWest brings neighbors together to provide reliable food assistance—and a meaningful human connection—to households throughout our community.

We nourish body, soul, and community.

JRA MetroWest is a volunteer-driven organization that helps low-income households according to their individual needs.

Each month, volunteers of every age pack food and deliver it directly to nearly 500 local households. Door-to-door delivery helps make sure a neighbor’s pantry is never empty while offering something just as important: the knowledge that the community cares.

Our work is powered by volunteers who pack, drive, organize food collections, raise funds, and provide aid and comfort in many different ways. Jewish and non-Jewish volunteers work side by side, united by a shared commitment to care for people in need and strengthen the community.

Since our founding in 2011, JRA MetroWest has created welcoming, hands-on opportunities for families, students, community groups, and individuals to repair the world together. While our roots are Jewish, assistance is available without regard to religion, race, age, or gender.

A project of the Rabbinical College of America, JRA MetroWest works in partnership with synagogues and local Jewish organizations throughout the region for the greater good.
